O’Hara Township, PA -- Anita Prizio released the first video advertisement of the District 3 County Council race, this week. The one minute spot, titled “Engine Parts,” demonstrates Anita’s critical perspective as a small business owner. As owner and operator of Pittsburgh Crankshaft Service, Anita is uniquely poised to implement county-wide policies that both stimulate economic growth and preserve our national resources.
Excerpt from Anita’s Kick-off Speech:
“...I own and operate a small engine parts warehouse, Pittsburgh Crankshaft Service. Although I did take some time to earn my MBA and JD at the University of Pittsburgh, as a first generation American, I chose to apply that knowledge locally and work with my parents to preserve what was really the American dream for my family.
My parents immigrated to America following World War II, my mom from Germany, my dad from Italy, met in night school learning English and started the business with one crankshaft grinder in a former beauty salon. They passed the business on to me and I hope that one day I will be able to pass it on to my children.
I also hope that I’ll be able to pass clean air, clean water and clean government to my children and my grandchildren, because like our water, government should be transparent, accessible and free of toxins. Today, more than ever County Council needs progressive, independent members accountable to their constituents...”
